# Sign in to NotesGarden

There's no separate sign-up. NotesGarden detects whether you're new or returning and handles it from there.

## Continue with Google

Click "Continue with Google" to sign in with your Google account. You'll be redirected to Google's login flow, then back to NotesGarden.

## Continue with email

### Enter your email and click "Continue". What happens next depends on your account:

- **New to NotesGarden?** You'll receive a 6-digit code. Enter it, tell us what to call you, and click **Create account**. You finish right where you started, in the app or in your browser.
- **Existing account?** You'll receive a 6-digit sign-in code. Enter it on the sign-in page and click **Continue**. The code is also in the email's subject line and works for 10 minutes.

## Troubleshooting

### I didn't receive my email

- Check your spam/junk folder for emails from `@notesgarden.com`
- Wait a moment, then click **Resend code** under the code field. It appears after a short countdown.

### My sign-in code isn't working

Codes expire after 10 minutes. If a code has expired or was entered wrong too many times, click **Send a new code**.

If you requested more than one code, any code from the last 10 minutes works.

## FAQ

### Can I set a password?

Yes, but it's optional. You can add or remove a password anytime in your account settings. By default, NotesGarden uses passwordless sign-in.

### Can I use NotesGarden on multiple devices?

Yes. Sign in with the same email on each device. You can have up to 10 active sessions.

### How do I unlink my Google account?

Visit [myaccount.google.com/connections](https://myaccount.google.com/connections), find NotesGarden, and remove the connection. You'll still be able to sign in with your email.
