# Share and Collaborate

With the sharing feature, you can easily collaborate with others by sharing an entire space or just a specific section.

## Choose an access level when inviting someone

When inviting someone, you choose one of three access levels:

- **Full**: The collaborator can edit content and share the Space with others.
- **Edit**: The collaborator can edit content but cannot share the Space with others.
- **View**: The collaborator can only view content (read-only).

## Share an entire Space

1. Click on the name of the space in the top left corner.
2. Click on the three-dot menu next to the space name.
3. Select **Share**.
4. Invite collaborators via email or generate a secret link.

## Share a specific section of your outline

1. Open the **items menu** for the subtree you wish to share.
2. Select **Share**.
3. Invite collaborators via email or generate a secret link.

## Accept or decline a Space invitation

When someone invites your account's email address to a Space, the invitation appears in the app. A badge counts the invitations waiting for you, and a short notice appears when a new one arrives.

1. Click the name of the current Space at the top of the screen.
2. Find the invitation under **Invited**, at the top of the menu.
3. Click **Accept** to add the Space to your list, or **Decline** to turn it down.

**Desktop app**: Open the account menu and select **Space invitations**. The item is there only while invitations are waiting.

Each invitation shows who sent it and the name of the Space. If you haven't worked with the sender before, their email address is shown too.

### People you already work with

If you accepted an invitation from someone before, or they accepted yours, the Spaces they share with you appear in your list right away. You'll find them under **Invited** with **Open** and **Leave**.

Declining or leaving one of their Spaces turns this off until you accept an invitation from them again.

**Hint:** If you don't see an invitation in the app within a few minutes, it is also sent to you by email. People without an account get the email right away.
