# Change the format of an item

Select one or more items and press a number from `1` to `6` to change how they look. While editing, press `Ctrl/Cmd` with the number.

- `1` — Text
- `2` — Bullet
- `3` — Numbered list
- `4` — Task (checklist)
- `5` — Quote
- `6` — Code

You can also change the format from the item menu.
