# Use checklist items

Press `4` to turn the selected items into tasks, then `T` to check or uncheck them.

1. Select one or more items and press `4`. Each gets a checkbox.
2. Press `T` to check the selected tasks. Press `T` again to uncheck them.

*`4` turns three items into tasks. `T` checks “Renew passport”, then checks and unchecks “Water the plants”.*

To find tasks later, search for `is:checked` or `is:unchecked`.
